BUSINESS MODEL

The CARDPro business model is centered on the strategic outsourcing of the physical card production, while the EMV O/S is developed and customised by first-class payment operating system partners, and the data generation is controlled by our software team. At all stages of the card manufacturing and personalisation process, security, quality and intellectual property are considered crucial to safeguard product and information required to manufacture and personalise EMV cards.

Thanks to the CARDPro integrated and streamlined supply chain, manufacturing of the card body, embedding of the chip and personalisation of the EMV are outsourced to stringently-selected and monitored partners. This process allows CARDPro to deliver the best quality solutions and services.

The CARDPro business model, coupled with the group’s vision and business philosophy has more to offer:

  • Production capacity through multiple manufacturing partners
    Production of an EMV card order is completed via a CARDPro production associate. All partners are EMV, VISA and MasterCard certified
  • No size order limitations
    Outsourcing the production of the card bodies ensures that CARDPro’s overall production capacity can be rapidly increased without capital expenditure and the consequent increase in overhead, keeping overall costs low and passing the benefits on to our customers.
  • Reducing operating costs through lower overheads
    CARDPro owns only certain production facilities and therefore does not bear the overheads associated with running large factories. As a result, through business agreements with our manufacturing partners CARDPro delivers low manufacturing costs as a benefit to our clients.
  • Security & quality
    CARDPro is not dependent on a single manufacturer, and therefore insists on the highest levels of security and quality. All partners are EMV, VISA and MasterCard certified.
  • Volume purchasing of silicon
    CARDPro negotiates global volume agreements with leading silicon foundries, thereby bringing costs down and delivering cost effective solutions to banks.
  • Chip multi-sourcing
    CARDPro EMV products are multi-sourced, so that the same product is available on different platforms, from several chip manufacturers. This leads to protecting against chip shortage. With 100% compatibility in terms of application, chip multi-sourcing is transparent and guarantees your EMV card supplies.
  • Vast choice of OS and solutions
    CARDPro supplies a complete range of smart card operating systems designed from contact native, Java to MULTOS cards covering low-cost entry-level products as well as more sophisticated contactless cards.

Product Matrix

Unlike other EMV card vendors, CARDPro is not tied to any specific O/S, brand or type of chip. The CARDPro EMV card business model has been designed to be truly portable and silicon platform independent. To ensure availability, products are offered to provide the largest variety of chip platforms for each product category.

CARDPro EMV cards comply with the latest VSDC and M/Chip specifications. Our high-end dual interface product range incorporates the latest MasterCard® PayPass and VISA Wave applications.
